skiing

Brett and I went skiing on Saturday night. I haven't been since before I was pregnant with Madison! I had such a good time. Brett doesn't enjoy it as much as I do, but we both needed a break from the gloomy inversion that is covering Boise. We drove up the mountain and through the clouds to see the SUN and a beautiful blue sky! It was warmer up there than it was in the valley.

These are the clouds that have been covering Boise for over a week now! It was so refreshing to get above it and see the sun!

Thanks for taking me skiing :)

New Years Eve

On New Year's Eve we went to the Bone Fish Grill in BODO for dinner. After enjoying some delicous food, we took Madie to spend the night at my parent's house and then we headed to Ben and Mikelle's for a New Year's Eve Party. They threw a great party! They had some good company, an awesome band :) , fireworks, and Brett's favorite...Karaoke !

Christmas Morning

We had Christmas Morning at our house this year. Brett's family came over and we all watched Madie open her presents and then we opened ours too! She was so excited to hear that Santa had come and brought her gifts! She got a new table and chairs, a tea set and about every disney princess there is!
Santa came!

She dove right into the candy!

Christmas Eve with the Hughes

On Christmas Eve day we met up with Brett's Family for some lunch at Flat Bread and then to a movie. Clint got cut out of the picture! It was fun.

Christmas Eve

We had a nice Christmas Eve with my Dad's family. It is Tradition for us to have a big dinner on Christmas eve. It turned out great. After dinner the kids acted out the Nativity Scene and we sang Christmas Carols. Madison was an angel. She loved every second of it. She didn't really participate when she was suppossed to, instead she stood up in front the whole time singing, twirling and dancing. She was in Heaven!
The night wouldn't be complete with out my Grandpa singing Oh, Holy Night. His sons accompanied him this year. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve. It snowed all evening and was such a beautiful night.

Santa

Madison was excited to see Santa this year (unlike last year). She told us she wanted to go visit "Santa's House". So we took her over to the mall one night to visit Santa. She was so excited while she was standing in line she could hardly stand it. She was jumping up and down. Then when it was finally her turn she started running up to him. As soon as she got about 2 feet away she looked at him and came to a hault. She was scared. She wouldn't get on his lap. So she sat on Brett's lap and talked to him. She like talking to him, but she wouldn't sit on his lap, shake his hand or give him a hug. (I don't blame her really).

I love this picture!

Here Madison is telling Santa that she wants "Snow White and Cinderella" for Christmas.

CHICK WEEKEND

Every year my mom, sister, aunts, girl cousins and grandma get together for what we call CHICK WEEKEND. We go to Salt Lake City, stay in a hotel, eat, shop and play truth or dare. I always look forward to this weekend. This year I was in charge of planning it. I added some new things to our usual agenda and a whole extra day which we all loved and think is mandatory from now on! We were all dissapointed that we were missing some of our essential Chick Group Members (my sister Hailey, my cousins Kim, Raquel and Kelly). But we had a good time and we hope they can come next year. I hear we are planning a new location next year....I'm hoping for some sun :)

We started the weekend at Temple Square. Here are a few of us eating at the resturant at the top of the Joseph Smith Building. What a pretty view!

My Grandpa joined us for our first night: dinner, Christmas lights at Temple Square and then to the Joseph Smith Movie. We were so glad he was able to join us. He has been feeling very ill. It was so good to spend time with him. We all loved it!

Here we are shopping at one of our favorite stops: The Gateway Mall

These are funny! My cousin Sydney teaches aerobics and so I asked her to teach us a class one morning. She moved all the furniture in the hotel room around and taught us some kick boxing. It was great!

It was a blast! Can't wait for next year!

Pizza Party

While my family was in town for Thanksgiving...we hosted a pizza party at our house. Mckay made the pizza dough...it was so good! And my mom made home made pesto sauce. We all made our own pizzas.

Madie and Brett making their pizzas. I can't stand how cute she is in this picture! Such a big girl.

Mckay. He is kinda the pizza expert in the family :)
