my home made banner

These aren't very good pictures...but I am very proud of this Birthday Banner I made! It turned out so cute. My sister and I made them while I was visiting her. She made one in boy colors. We are looking forward to both our baby's 2nd birthdays this summer!

Rexburg

Last weekend Madie and I went to visit my sister in Rexburg. We had a lot of fun together. The weather was really nice. It was fun to see them play together.

One afternoon my sister and I rented a tandem bike and this trailer to haul the kids. When we first got on it I was scared and didn't want to leave the parking lot. Then I got used to it. My sister was in front and I was in the back. We took the kids to a park and fed the ducks then we got one of my favorite treats that I can only find in Rexburg: Coconut and Cream Shaved Ice with ice cream on the bottom. Love it!!
They loved Connor's power wheels 4 wheeler. Madie was giving Connor a ride!

Bonfire and Banana boats

While we were in Rexburg we had a bonfire (campfire) one night. I keep calling it a bonfire and I keep being corrected. I loved it. It was nice to do something different and to be outside. Madison liked it too. We roasted hot dogs and my new favorite...Banana boats! My brother in law Brandon introduced me to this new treat. A banana stuffed with Rolos and Peanut Butter cups topped with marshmallows!
Madie looking cute.

Isn't Connor getting so cute?

Hailey was playing with them and they were laughing so hard!

Happy Mother's Day

OuR MOtHeR's DaY!
Every year I do a mother's day luncheon for my mom and my mother-in-law. They come over and we enjoy a nice home made lunch. I always try new recipes and decorate the table. Here are some pictures from our luncheon this year.
The girls!

My table. The theme was black and white.

I served everything in flower pots. I found this cute idea in my new cookbook. I baked the bread in these flower pots.

Fresh fruit and coconut orange dip...served in a flower pot saucer and mini flower pot.
They got citrus lotion and shower gel as party favors.
Oh... and you can barely see the "low-voltage" pina coladas on the right side in the picture. They were good!

The main dish: Salmon and Pasta ceasar salad served in a flower pot.

Oh... and dessert was Molten Lava Cakes and Ice Cream!

Sorry this blog contains a little bragging. Its just that I don't cook very often so it is definately worth blogging about when I do!

hope everyone had a happy mother's day!

SPRING

She is almost two..

I can't belive that she is almost two! I took her to the park yesterday and took her picture. She wouln't look at the camera much, she was too busy exploring. She has such a fun loving personality. It has been a fun couple of years!
