Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving
We had a good thanksgiving this year. Hailey, Brandon and Connor came and stayed at our house for the holiday. It is always fun having them around! Jordan and McKay were back from BYU for the weekend too. It was nice to have all of the family together. We went to my parents's house for our Thanksgiving Feast. They cooked up a yummy meal! (Madison was moody and wouldn't get in any pictures...she didn't eat any Thanksgiving Dinner either).

Halloween

Madison was a ladybug for halloween this year ( or as she says a "babybug"). We started the day by visiting Madison's Grandma Julie at her work. Madison showed off her costume to all the ladies and was spoiled with lots of candy. Then we walked over to the hospital to visit my grandpa while he was getting some cancer treatments. He was suprised to have such a cute little ladybug come see him! Madison was very friendly and gave out candy to the nurses and some of the other patients. Later that evening we took Madison trick-or-treating in our neighborhood with our friends. Madison loved trick-or-treating. She tried to eat each piece of candy before she got to the next house!

We had a great halloween!!!

Family Pictures

Yesterday we headed out to Eagle to get some family pictures. I was nervous about the whole situation and although Madison had a meltdown about half the time....you can't even tell! Thanks to Pam, she did a great job!!!! Madison looks so cute!!! I wish I could say the same about myself. I think I look the best in the blurry one. So, here is the "sneak peek" that I stole off her blog. I hope to see the rest soon!!

ROAD TRIP

After hearing the sad news that my sister had a miscarriage at 14 weeks, I planned a road trip to go cheer her up in Rexburg. If you know me, you know I DO NOT do road trips alone, but I figured I better start. I would ONLY do this for my sister. So Madison and I planned to drive to Rexburg alone, until my friend Leslie came to the rescue. She has family in Rexburg so her and her adorable girls accompanied us on our trip! Madison had the time of her life watching movies in the backseat with her two girls. I didn't hear a peep from her. It was great! I was a nervous wreck, but I had some good company and some good conversation which made it all bearable :) Thanks Leslie!

My sister and I had a great time together like always. She is recovering pretty well. We entertained ourselves the first day by going to the gym, eating, making halloween cookies with the kids, and then getting a babysitter to go to a movie alone! The next day, we went to Idaho falls to a gymnasium. The kids LOVED it. Madison danced the whole time on the trampolines. Connor loved the foam pit and so did I ... then we went to lunch and tried to do some shopping, went to the cupcake shop (of course), and later that night our we got to see our brother Jordan! He was in the neighborhood for some hunting. It was a great couple of days!!!

Thanks! We miss you already!

the pumkin patch

Last week we took Madison to the pumkin patch. It was freezing cold so we kept is short and sweet. We rode on a hay ride, fed the farm animals and picked out the perfect pumkin.

Madison and I at the punkin patch
Looking for the perfect pumkin... Madison kept picking up cornstalks instead of a pumkin. I guess they are more interesting.

Madison fed all of the farm animals including a zebra and camel. She absolutely loved it. When she was finished she spotted a pony ride. She kept saying "I wanna ride pony", then she went over to the pony and got right on! We were so suprised. Last year we tried to get her to ride the pony and she was terrified! She loved the pony ride. She held on tight and had a huge smile!

Live with Regis and Kelly

One of my favorite things we did in NYC was going to the Regis and Kelly show.
I love watching the show and have tried to get tickets when we have been to NYC before and haven't been able to. This time I got two tickets for Brett and me. It was so much fun to see them live! The guests were Debra Messing, Bill O'Riley and the top four contestants of Project Runway. Regis and Kelly were so nice. They came up and talked to the audience in between the commercial breaks. I couldn't believe how small the set was. It looks so much bigger on TV!

The Central Park Zoo

Madison loved the Central Park Zoo. She loved seeing the sea lion show, feeding the goats, and watching the polar bears swim.

Amy and Dan's Wedding in New Hampshire

After spending a few days in NYC, we rode the train to Boston and spent the afternoon there. I forgot to take pictures! We walked along the Waterfront, took Madison to a park, shopped and ate yummy Clam Chowder! That evening my friend Ashley picked us up in Boston and we drove to beautiful New Hampshire for Amy and Dan's Wedding. It is Foliage Season in New Hampshire and it is BEAUTIFUL! What a pretty place to have a fall wedding. Madison was the flower girl and I have to say she was the cutest flower girl I have ever seen. She was a hoot! I was one of the bridesmaids so I walked down the aisle with her. She did a good job throwing the flowers and when she got to the front she said "I throwed it!" and started jumping up and down. Later, at the reception she danced the night away. She was on the dance floor the entire night! It was so nice to be with old friends. Amy and Ashley are my best friends from High School. I can't believe we are all married now!
Congrats to Amy and Dan!! They looked so wonderful on their wedding day. Thanks for sharing your day with us!!!

The Office

My wonderful husband planned a birthday party for me! Since we both love to watch The Office, and the season premiere was the day before my birthday, he planned an Office party and asked everyone to dress up as someone from the Office. Brett did such a good job putting it all together for me. We had a great night, and I loved everyones costumes. I did not get a picture of everyone, but here are some of them.

Pregnant Jan and Dwight AKA Carrie and Jeff

Pam and Toby AKA Monica and Mark

Angela and Dwight AKA Nick and Jaime

Thanks to everyone who came!!!

i don't know why all these pictures are soo small....

Happy Birthday to me...

Last week I celebrated my Birthday. Or as Brett calls it my Birthweek since I celebrate all week long :)
The week started out with a surprise visit from my wonderful sister and little Connor. He made me a birthday card and she brought me a yummy cupcake all the way from Rexburg. She must love me!

My dad was out of town last weekend, so my mom spent the night over at my house and we had one big slumber party. I slept in on my Birthday and I woke up to a clean house, breakfast and these wonderful people!

We all went to Flat Bread for lunch and then went on my annual birthday bike ride. Its tradition that my mom and I ride our bikes the same amount of miles as the years I am turning. We were suppossed to ride 27 miles, but we didn't make it that far since we had two two year olds with us. We still had a lot of fun and it was a beautiful day on the Boise Green Belt.
