Crazy Women

Last Saturday my Mom, Madison and I walked in the St. Luke's Women's Fitness Celebration in the POURING rain! It is tradition that my mom and I do it together every year. I always look forward to it and so we didn't let the rain stop us. We usually run, but this year we brought Madison and so we walked in the "stroller wave". Madison got a cute little t-shirt and little race number to wear. She looked so cute! We did not get much of a work out, because you can harldy move in the "stroller wave", but luckily Madison LOVED it... and it is always fun to spend time with my mom aka "ga-ma".

updated

For the three or four of you who read this thing...Its updated! Here is what we have been up to:

Good bye summer...

I don't know what to do with myself now that summer is over! Summer is my favorite time of year. We had a good one this year. We spent many sunny days in our swim suits at roaring springs, the neighborhood pool and a beach or two. Madison loves to swim! There were several mornings this summer that she would ask to go swimming as soon as she woke up in the morning...and then she would attempt to put on her swimming suit by herself (she puts her head through the leg holes!)

Goodbye summer... I will miss you!!!!

Isn't she cute?

Our Favorite: Roaring Springs
Madie is so brave. She went on the slides all by herself.

Madison would yell "ready, set, go!" before she went down the slide.

They are back...

Its football season again. And Boise State is back on the Blue Turf. We have season tickets and have been to the first two home games already! We always have so much fun cheering for our BRONCOS!!

Visitors!

My friend Kendall and her sweet girls came for a visit last week! We had a girly weekend. I love these girls!!!!

Madison and Elise chasing eachother and dancing to the music at Art in the park. They had so much fun together! They are both girly girls. They wore high heels and carried around babies for most of the weekend. They think they are so grown up. Elise dressed up in one of Madison's dress up dresses and Kendall said, "Wow Elise, you look like a princess!" and she said, "I not look like a princess, I AM a PRINCESS!" How cute :)

Madison got to hold Emmie in the swing. She thought she was such a big girl!

Thanks so much for coming to visit! We had so much fun. We can't wait to see you again. We will come visit you next time!!

Game night!

McCall

After Red Fish Lake, we drove straight to McCall for a family reunion. The sun came out and we were able to spend more time on the beach and go boating. I got to go waterskiing with my cousin and aunt early in the morning. The water was perfect and we almost had the lake to ourselves! Madison went on her first ride behind the boat! She was scared to get in the tube, but as soon as the boat started pulling her she had a blast. She kept waving to me from the tube! We enjoyed spending time with our famiy especially the ones we don't get to see very often because they live on the east coast! :(

Red Fish Lake

At the end of August, we spend a few relaxing days with my family (minus my sister and her fam) at Red Fish Lake. We played on the beach, rode our bikes, took rides in the canoe and relaxed. We didn't get in the water during this trip. It was too cold! It was great to spend time with my brothers before they left for BYU. We miss them already. Madison asks for JOJO and KAY KAY all the time :)

The Fair

Madison LOVES animals. So we took her to the fair to see all of the farm animals. She absolutely loved it! She got to feed the goats. They would eat right out of her little hand. It was so cute. She also loved the little pigs and the sheep. She went up to the sheep and said "HI Sheep. He cute Mom." Then she was jumping up and down with excitement when she saw the cows. They are her favorite animal right now. Every time we are driving in the car and she sees a cow (or a horse which she thinks is a cow), she yells "A COW! You see it Mama?" and I say "Yes" then she says "Good job Mom". We have this conversation several times a day (there are a lot of cows here).

Waterskiing and Camping

We just got back from a waterskiing and camping trip at Lucky Peak. Kiley and I planned it last minute. It was a lot of work packing all the camping and boating stuff up, but once we got there it was well worth it! I wish we did things like this more often.
Us on the boat

The kids. Kade, Jeff, and Madison. Kade was the flag boy. He did an awesome job. Later that night he told Kiley he was having a lucky day "because Brett got to wakeboard, I got to be the flag boy, and this is the best hamburger in the world, better than McDonalds(refering to the tin foil dinners we were eating)".

Kiley and I

Brett wakeboarding! We all took a turn wakeboarding, skiing or knee boarding, it was a lot of fun.

Our cute girl at the campfire on one of her first camping trips.

Brett and Madie around the campfire.

After we got the kids to bed in the tents we had a little adult time around the fire making smores. We must have been enjoying ourselves too much because we got told to "quiet down" by our neighboor camper. I think we just got the blame though. I think the loud ones were the teenagers down the way who were skinny dipping! Kiley and I did take a trip to the bathroom and before she went she asked me to shine the flashlight on the toilet and there was a bat! We both started screaming and ran out. So we had to rough it and go to the bathroom in the bushes, which was fine until I peed on my own foot.
