Waterskiing and Camping

We just got back from a waterskiing and camping trip at Lucky Peak. Kiley and I planned it last minute. It was a lot of work packing all the camping and boating stuff up, but once we got there it was well worth it! I wish we did things like this more often.

The kids. Kade, Jeff, and Madison. Kade was the flag boy. He did an awesome job. Later that night he told Kiley he was having a lucky day "because Brett got to wakeboard, I got to be the flag boy, and this is the best hamburger in the world, better than McDonalds(refering to the tin foil dinners we were eating)".

Brett wakeboarding! We all took a turn wakeboarding, skiing or knee boarding, it was a lot of fun.

After we got the kids to bed in the tents we had a little adult time around the fire making smores. We must have been enjoying ourselves too much because we got told to "quiet down" by our neighboor camper. I think we just got the blame though. I think the loud ones were the teenagers down the way who were skinny dipping! Kiley and I did take a trip to the bathroom and before she went she asked me to shine the flashlight on the toilet and there was a bat! We both started screaming and ran out. So we had to rough it and go to the bathroom in the bushes, which was fine until I peed on my own foot.

more snowbird...

While we were in Snowbird Brett and his cousin climbed the wall at the Cliff Lodge. It is 120 feet high! We all came to watch and cheer them on. Madie kept cheering "go daddy", "good job", and "yeah daddy"!

Snowbird

We just got back from Snowbird! We spent five relaxing days in the mountains. I love the mountains in Utah! We had a wonderful time with Brett's extended family. Madie loved playing with all the big kids. She thinks she is so old now! We were lucky that all the older girls loved playing with her. She was spoiled all weekend. We had such a good time hiking, swimming and eating! We also got to do the alpine slides and zip line!

Aloha

So apparently "Aloha" means hello and goodbye in Hawaii. My sister and her husband are off to Hawaii for two months! I am so excited for them! Brandon is doing an internship there for the summer. They found out they were moving last week and this afternoon they took off to beautiful Hawaii. I am a bit jealous...
Here we are saying "Aloha" to them over breakfast before taking them to the airport. We were lucky they were flying out of Boise so we got to spend a couple days with them before they left.
So, I have been trying to talk to Brett into a trip to Hawaii to visit them, but so far its a no go.
Hailey, If I don't make it...I hope you guys can enjoy yourselves with out me on the beautiful beaches of HAWAII!!!!

Date Night

Date Night with our best friends...

We went to dinner at Flatbread pizza and then went to the driving range. Don't be fooled this is one of my very first golfing experiences. Our friends are pros and I thought I would give it a try. They all gave me tips on my form etc. I can't say they will invite me on next time they go golfing...but I had a good time!

Here we are after eating a half dozen warm cookies and cold milk!

Bike Ride

We are enjoying the beautiful summer weather!! We have been spending a lot of time outside lately. Last weekend we went on a bike ride on the green belt. This is one of my most favorite things to do in the summer. It was a nice evening! We stopped at the park and Madie played in the big sand box. She absolutely loves the park and being outside. When we left she said "bye bye slide, bye bye tree". She is starting to say so many things all of the sudden. It is so cute! Next, we stopped for dinner at the RAM on the river. Our last stop was downtown for the Twilight Criterium.

Movie night in the Park

At our favorite park nearby, there is a family movie night every Friday night during the summer. They blow up a big movie screen and families come with their blankets and lawn chairs to watch a movie under the stars. We went with some friends this weekend. It was so much fun! It was a beautiful summer night!

4th of July Rodeo and Fireworks

Happy 4th of July!! After the parade we went to a Rodeo and fireworks. We all loved the small town Idaho Rodeo! What a good way to celebrate the 4th of July! We stayed and watched fireworks right after the rodeo! My camera broke that night. This is the only picture that I got. Maybe my sister will send me some more....

Happy 4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July in Rexburg with Hailey, Brandon and Connor! We went to the parade and Madison absolutely LOVED it! She waved at all the people in the parade and yelled "Yeah" when they came by. There were lots of floats with little dance teams and cheer leaders on them. She danced every time they came by. They threw lots of candy and her and Connor had so much fun running to pick up all the candy!

Summer fun with Connor and Hailey

Hailey and Connor came to visit again!! We have so much fun when they are here. Madison and Connor are starting to play together more. They try to make eachother laugh! They are so cute together!

Our 6th Anniversary

The Sawtooth Mountain Relay ended in Sun Valley. There was a big party at the end with lots of good food. It was our 6th anniversary so Brett and I stayed the night in the Sun Valley Lodge. It was beautiful. We had a relaxing rest of the weekend celebrating 6 years of marriage!! Here is a picture of us in front of the Lodge.
